Long time music industry veteran, Lisa Jefferson, has launched LRJ Account Management, a business management company. Lisa has spent the last 8 years of her career developing as an account manager/bookkeeper at a premiere accountancy corporation in Calabasas, Ca. Prior to that she had worked 15 years in the music industry achieving the level of Vice President, Press & Artist Development at Elektra Entertainment. Lisa has had the pleasure of working with some of the world's most renowned musical and record industry talent. She often laughs at the number of times she hears an artist playing and says to her children, "I used to work with that artist."
During her days in the music industry Lisa worked closely on the careers of Anita Baker, Natalie Cole, Ziggy Marley, David Sanborn, Etta James, En Vogue, Yolanda Adams, Teddy Pendergrass, Al Green, Janet Jackson, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Keith Sweat, Gerald Levert, and The Isley Brothers. Other stand out label artists included Sting, Metallica, Amy Grant, Bjork, Natalie Merchant, Jason Mraz, and Tracy Chapman.
Lisa’s clients as an account manager have included musicians, directors, designers and entrepreneurs. Her years of combined knowledge in account management and the music industry have led her to launch LRJ Account Management.
LRJ Account Management is based on relationships first and is meant to help busy professionals or individuals organize their financial affairs.
With years of working alongside music executives and talented artists Lisa has developed a knack for identifying needs and solving problems, she brings that same expertise to her new company, LRJ Account Management.
Lisa is a wife and mom to 3 children and lives in sunny Southern California. She spends her free time writing, enjoying nature and paying attention to the politics of the day. Lisa also serves as Treasurer on the board of a non-profit organization called Hope's Nest, which serves the critical needs of under-served Los Angeles children.
